The Rolling Stones & Universal Music Link For Shine A Light Soundtrack The Rolling Stones and Universal Music Group are delighted to announce they have signed an exclusive worldwide recording agreement for the group’s next album due for release in March 2008. The one album deal is for the soundtrack CD from director Martin Scorsese’s film Shine A Light. The movie, set for cinema release in April 2008, was shot at The Rolling Stones’ acclaimed performance at New York’s Beacon Theatre in the autumn of 2006. Chris Cornell - Scream For those who know Chris Cornell as the gutsy, wailing voice behind the multi-platinum bands Soundgarden and Audioslave, the fact that one of the most iconic frontman in the history of hard rock has chosen hip-hop/R&B super-producer Timbaland to helm his new album, Scream, may come as something of a shock. But Cornell, a relentlessly innovative artist who has proven himself unafraid to take risks over the course of his long career, believes that "together Tim and I have created a new sound. Our vibe and our creative energy helped to make a masterpiece. We brought out the best in one another by breaking all the rules and boundaries in music." "Part Of Me" is the first single from the album and the video features guest appearances by Wladimir Klitschko, Timbaland and Method Man. Dark, multi-layered and full of puzzles and surprises, "Scream" live will thrill anyone who relishes a musical challenge. Imagineered in the studio by Timbaland, it's spectacular. Played live by Cornell's band, it's unmissable. John Scofield - Piety Street 1 CD Top (6025 179 113-6 9) With the release of Piety Street, Scofield takes his music to a new place. "I'm just shifting the balances for this one," he says. I've always wanted to record and tour a blues project. That's where I started as a guitarist and I'm feeling that music more than ever of late”. Melody Gardot - My One And Only Thrill 1 CD Top (6025 179 678-2 3) ‘My One And Only Thrill’ is an intensely creative milestone, transcending genre distinctions of jazz and blues to offer a haunting personal musical statement that will appeal to all music-lovers. As with her acclaimed live shows, she captures and holds her audience in the palm of her hand. These eleven songs, covering a wide range of emotions are all her own except for an irresistible, Brazilian take on Somewhere Over The Rainbow. It would take a heart of stone to remain unmoved by the poignant title track My One And Only Thrill. The first single 'Who Will Comfort Me' will be followed by a second single ‘Baby I’m A Fool’.

Ronan Keating - Songs For My Mother Over the space of two days, Ronan Keating went into British Grove studios with his band and a live orchestra to record a special solo album entitled 'Songs For My Mother' in memory of his late mother Marie Keating and to also celebrate Mother’s Day. 'Songs For My Mother' is a beautiful and evocative collection of songs that Ronan remembers his mum listening to throughout his childhood. All of the songs on the album were carefully selected by Ronan and so have a special place in his heart. Along with traditional folk songs such as ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’ and ‘Carrickfergus’, the album includes tracks by revered musicians such as Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Elvis as well as Ronan’s version of Joshua Kadison’s song ‘Mamas Arms’, a song that helped Ronan through his grieving for his mother Marie. The album also includes a brand new version of Ronan's song 'This Is Your Song'. Ronan wrote 'This Is Your Song' for both his parents and the track first appeared on Ronan's number one 2002 solo album 'Destination'. It's a favourite of his fans and has often appeared in Ronan's live shows over the years. 'Songs For My Mother' was produced by Stephen Lipson, who’s past credits include Pet Shop Boys, Paul McCartney, Annie Lennox and Will Young Ronan lost his mother to breast cancer 10 years ago, in 1998. Along with his family, Ronan set up the The Marie Keating Foundation which funds two mobile cancer awareness units in Ireland. The Foundation‘s work has helped acheive a 6% increase in Cancer survival rates across Ireland. In 2005 Ronan joined forces with Cancer Research UK and has raised over £1,500,000 to enable three mobile units to now be on the road in the UK under a ground breaking partnership between the two charities. A dedicated fundraiser for the charity, Ronan ran his first London Marathon last year to raise money for Cancer Research UK and is currently in training to run it again in April of this year. Last month, Ronan also joined his friend Gary Barlow to climb Kilimanjaro to raise money for Comic Relief. Rolando Villazon Gabrieli Players Paul McCreesh – Handel 1 CD Top (0289 477 805-6 4) Rolando Villazón and Gabrieli Players maestro Paul McCreesh – a Gramophone award winner for his Haydn Creation in 2008 – energize an all Italian Handel aria program that opens the door for his fans into the marvels of the Baroque repertoire. Had Handel known and composed for Rolando’s voice, Villazón’s ardent tenor could not more perfectly realize Handel’s grand, melodic style. All admirers of the tenor voice – not just Rolando Villazón’s numerous fans – will be swept off their feet into a love affair with his heartfelt Handel. Cielo e mar has sold almost 90,000 units to date worldwide, and this surprisingly different album is the perfect follow-up. This release will be launched in perfect time for the celebration of the 250th anniversary of Handel’s death.

This incredible haul makes Amy the first ever British female artist to win 5 Grammys in one night and sees her join Lauryn Hill (1998), Alicia Keys (2001), Norah Jones (2002) and Beyonce (2003) in the elite band of female artists who have won 5 awards in one evening. Amy, who was unable to attend in person, performed live-via-satellite from Riverside Studios in London. The 24-year old Londoner turned in a show stopping performance of “You Know I’m No Good” and the anthemic “Rehab”. Following her performance, Amy had this to say: “I am so proud of this album. I put my heart and soul into it and it’s wicked to be recognised in this way. I feel truly honoured to be mentioned in the same breath as many of the artists present tonight and to win is even more amazing. Thanks to everyone involved in the record, my manager Raye, Mark and Salaam, everyone at Island Records, Universal/Republic and of course my family and my husband Blake.” She later went on to say “I can’t believe I’ve won 5 awards. It’s a shame I couldn’t be there to accept the awards but I’m so proud and happy that I had the opportunity to perform for the Grammys in my hometown of London with my family and friends around me. Thank you thank you thank you.” After winning the highly prestigious Record of The Year Award, Amy was quickly joined on stage by her Dad and Mum in a group hug with her band. The Grammys cap a remarkable 18 months for this hugely talented and unique artist. During that time “Back To Black”, widely regarded as a modern day masterpiece by critics and fans alike, has sold over 5 million copies worldwide and turned Amy into one of the hottest stars in the world. The critical response to the record has been every bit as impressive with Amy picking up a series of awards including a Brit, South Bank Show Award, Ivor Novello, Mojo, Glamour, Elle Style Award, Mobo, MTV Europe’s Artists’ Choice Award and Q Award for Album of the Year. www.amywinehouse.co.uk

Papa Roach – Metamorphosis Get ready to rock... The Californian quartet are back with 'Metamorphosis' through DGC/Interscope Records, preceded by the first single 'Hollywood Whore'. In a musical climate dominated by electro and synth, multi-platinum Grammy-nominated Papa Roach return to tear things up, unleashing a new album which conjures a vicious, vibrant intensity that is raw, relevant and ready to rock. Papa Roach are vocalist Jacoby Shaddix, bassist Tobin Esperance, guitarist Jerry Horton and new member, (ex-Unwritten Law's) drummer Tony Palermo. Since bursting onto the scene in 2000, the band have toured the world and scored four top 10 US hits including 'Forever', 'Scars', 'Getting Away With Murder' and the smash hit single 'Last Resort' which peaked at #4 in the UK charts. The first single 'Hollywood Whore' is a ferocious rock track with a contagious and undeniable chorus. The video to accompany the track cranks up the gore factor by 10 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duuUnO6kxGg&feature=channel_page) leaving all those wannabe Hollywood socialites quaking in their stilettos. 'Metamorphosis' captures Papa Roach's live energy on record. The album engages a full-on rock n' roll assault fuelled by the band's punky raw energy, catchy guitar riffs and atmospheric melodies.

Stevie Wonder - Live At Last BLU-RAY (6025 179 868-6 2) & DVD (6025 179 924-5 0) STEVIE WONDER RELEASES FIRST-EVER LIVE DVD “LIVE AT LAST” In the year that Motown Records reaches its half-century, lifelong Motown artist and music legend STEVIE WONDER, universally regarded as one of the few true geniuses in modern music, celebrates with the release of his first-ever live concert DVD, ’LIVE AT LAST’. Released through Universal Motown Records, the DVD was filmed at the O2 Arena in London over two nights, September 30 and October 1, 2008, before a rapturous audience of 15,000 each night. The concerts were part of the first Stevie Wonder world tour in over a decade which sold 120,000 tickets in the UK alone. ‘LIVE AT LAST’s set list traces a lifetime of innovation and accomplishment – and, in fact, our own lifetime appreciation of his music, stretching from Wonder’s teens with “My Cherie Amour” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours.” Along the way, the show encompasses all the classic hits that redefined pop and R&B music, including “Superstition,” “Higher Ground,” “Living For the City,” “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” and “I Wish,” while reaching into his classic albums for such enduring fan favorites as “All I Do,” “Overjoyed” and “Knocks Me Off My Feet.” The exuberant “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing” is preceded by Wonder’s interpretation of Chick Corea’s instrumental “Spain.” And in a delightful, impressive and emotional moment, Wonder’s daughter Aisha Morris -- the inspiration of his classic “Isn’t She Lovely” -- steps from the background vocal group and performs Nat “King” Cole’s jazz standard “I’m Gonna Laugh You Right Out of My Life.” Wonder also takes time out in the set to salute the British audience with an affectionate medley of two Beatles songs (“Fool on the Hill,” “I Want To Hold Your Hand”) and a Rolling Stones classic (“[I Can’t Get No] Satisfaction”), book-ending them with the traditional “London Bridge is Falling Down.” Aside from being his first DVD release, ‘LIVE AT LAST’ is Stevie Wonder’s first high definition release on Blu-Ray disc. Blue laser disc reader technology provides unparalleled picture quality (at 1080i) as well as pure and uncompressed 5.1 surround sound -- the highest standard of sound quality ever achieved on a Stevie Wonder release. STEVIE WONDER was introduced to the world at age 12 in the 1963 hit “Fingertips - Pt. 2,” his first of nine No. 1 records and he has also charted eighteen more Top 10 hits so far. He has won 22 Grammy Awards since 1973, when Innervisions won Album of the Year, among his first four Grammys that year. He is the recipient of NARAS’ Lifetime Achievement Award (1996) and Billboard Magazine’s Century Award (2004). He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. His 10-million selling 1976 double album Songs in the Key of Life was the first album by an American artist to debut at No. 1 in the Billboard album chart. His most recent studio album is 2005’s gold-certified Top 5 A Time To Love. Wonder performed “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” to a crowd of 85,000 at Denver, Colorado’s Invesco Field, just prior to then-Senator Barack H. Obama’s nomination acceptance address at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, and he also is prominent among performers at the public Obama Inaugural celebrations held in Washington, DC in January 2009. His new song “All About the Love Again,” is featured on the special all-star compilation project ‘CHANGE IS NOW: RENEWING AMERICA’S PROMISE’, released on Inauguration Day. At age 58, Stevie Wonder remains among the most visionary, influential and admired of singers, songwriters, musicians and producers in the history of American music. Portishead Return With Their First Album in a Decade Portishead return in style this spring with Third, their first album in over a decade. Island Recocrds UK president Nick Gatfield is overseeing the project and he enthuses about the new album. He says: "They aimed to create a new template for the Portishead sound: it’s not a retread of Dummy. I think they’ve achieved this. While some of the original elements are there, such as Beth’s voice, they have drawn up new parameters. The band have an exhaustive attention to detail – real quality control in the structure of songs, the sounds they use. The sound ranges from the more soulful to quite hard. But it is the Portishead signature sound: it’s what makes them special. This is why they have been cited by artists from rock to hip hop." The album was recorded in the band’s Bristol studio and Gatfield explains: "The band have probably only been working in earnest on this album for the last couple of years, although they’ve done side projects, but they regrouped to tackle the album head on." "The album is not a singles album, it’s not that sort of work, and we will be promoting it in other ways. We’ve had directors coming up to us saying they’d love to film the band so we’re commissioning four or five short films which we’ll release over a six to nine month period and then bundle as a DVD." "We’re creating quite a visual element which, again, will sustain the life of the record for six to nine months. We are filming a special event in Portishead, at an old school hall there. It will be Portishead in Portishead… There will be a pre-launch TV show and we will use elements for the online promotion." "There will be a live global media launch in Berlin around March 16-17. They are very popular internationally: for example Germany, Japan, France and the US are all key markets. We will broadcast the media launch." "They’ve recently done some so-called low key live dates and got mobbed at the Bristol Academy - it was heaving – and they hosted the All Tomorrow’s festival at Butlins in Minehead in December." "Third" will be released by Island Records UK on May 5. Portishead will kick off their UK and European tour in Oporto on March 26, ending at the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona in May. They will also appear at famed US music festival, Coachella, on April 26. http://www.portishead.co.uk/

Turkey´s biggest pop star is back! Two years after his last album “Come Closer” (sung in complete English) Tarkan goes through a metamorphose, a change back to his origin and more homegrown flavour: “Metamorfoz” is the representative title of his follow up, this time sung in Turkish language! The sound of the album defines its title: The mixture of synthesizer sounds and beats make the change of the once so-called Orient-Pop Star to a world-artist obvious. Tarkan´s poppy vocals with it´s characteristic oriental style give the album its finishing touch. His melodious song-writing combined with the western production make “Metamorfoz” a real experience

Sometimes it takes one individual to rise up, to be the voice, to speak the truth with no restriction. When that individual speaks, people listen, and a revolution can begin. Belly (a.k.a Rebellyus) is bringing “The Revolution” in the Spring of 2007 through major independent label Capital Prophet Records. Born on April 7, 1984 in the Middle East, Belly grew up surrounded by war, violence, and atrocities no child should ever have to see. When he moved to Canada with his family, Belly saw the money and wealth that was only a dream in his birthplace. His hunger for monetary comfort lead him to the streets, on the block hustling to get his hands on a piece of the wealth that was available for the taking. Turning to the streets at a very young age made Belly strong and resilient but he needed an outlet to release the aggressions building up within him. It was rap music that saved his life. "I always had a love for rap music, and I eventually found out that rap was the only way I could really express myself and talk about the things going on in my life. Without music I'd be dead...or in jail.", says Belly. Looking to rap music to express himself and tell his life story, he began recording street singles on a home computer. It wasn’t until a year later that Tony Sal, also resident from Ottawa, discovered Belly and the untapped talent he possessed. In 2001, Tony Sal, a budding business savvy entrepreneur, formed the independent record label, Capital Prophet Records, with two artists – Belly and Massari. In 2002, Capital Prophet Records found interest from an independent label based out of Chicago. Belly along with label mate Massari recorded a 10-track demo in Chicago and LA featuring artists from Chicago. The demo never saw the light of day, problems with the law led to the closure of the label and the incarceration of key figures within the label. Upon returning to Ottawa in 2002, Capital Prophet Records and its artists began to develop and strengthen. In 2003, the single “Spitfire” was released. With local radio station Hot 89.9’s support, the track became a local anthem. Belly and Massari were quickly known as “The Prophets”, stirring up controversy among different religious groups. Having all grown up together and coming from different religious and ethnic backgrounds themselves, “The Prophets” and Capital Prophet Records ignored any and all racial and religious barriers and released the “Spitfire” EP along with a follow-up single. The second single wasn't received the same way the first single was and a frustrated Belly returned to the street life. It wasn't long before Belly became restless and fed up with street life and returned to the studio with a new found intensity and understanding; ready to show the world exactly what street life was as seen through someone who had lived it. Armed with his natural ability to string together words and his life experiences up until that point, Belly hit the studio and recorded two full-length mix-tapes. Taking everything he had become aware of and accustomed to on the streets and sharing his life-lessons for anyone who would listen. The harsh and controversial lyrics were Belly’s truth, and the truth wasn’t always pretty. His first mix-tape, “Death Before Dishonor/Vol 1” with DJ Kool Kid (renowned New York DJ) included tracks with Harlem’s own Loon. The success of the first mix-tape led to the sequel, “Death Before Dishonor/Vol 2”, recorded in the U.S with DJ Kay Slay and featuring appearances by JR Writer (DipSet), Shells (J Records), Bumpy Johnson (Atlantic Records) and more. The two mix-tapes have sold over 25,000 units combined on the streets from coast to coast. Belly’s artistry was recognized at the 2005 Ottawa Hip-Hop Awards where he won 3 awards for Internationally Known Artist, MC of the Year and Mixtape of the Year. Shortly after the release of “Death Before Dishonor/Vol 2”, Belly began working closely with label mate Massari and penned “Smile For Me” and “Be Easy”. The two tracks, which appeared on Massari’s debut album, quickly became Top 10 hits at Top 40/CHR radio stations across Canada. With two successful mix-tapes and two chart-topping singles under his belt, Belly began recording material for his own full-length debut album. The CD entitled “The Revolution” is a double album and is set for international release on Capital Prophet Records in the Summer of 2006. Belly recruited many of hip-hops finest to work alongside him in “The Revolution”. With production by Daheala (Capital Prophet Records), Kojak (Lil’ Flip, Mike Jones, Paul Wall), Lynxx and Beat Merchant (Capital Prophet Records newest member of their production team) the double CD will touch on subjects like poverty, politics, sex, the streets, and every aspect of life. “The problems don’t stop once you get into this industry, but people should never regret anything that happens to them. Take me for example, I don’t know where I’d be and what I’d be rapping about if I didn’t live the life I lived. The pain is part of the game.”, says Belly. Never resting, Belly worked simultaneously on the much anticipated “Death Before Dishonor/Vol 3” hosted by Mixtape Award-winning DJ Sickamore. The mix-tape, recorded in Canada, Houston and New York will find it’s way to the streets this March 2006 and features hip hop veteran Scarface on the street single “I Swear”.

On January 28, 2009, Billboard announced that the album's first single, "My Life Would Suck Without You", went from #97 to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making the biggest leap to the top in the chart's history. 14 power tracks quoted as “Breakaway on Steroids!” – This album is set to seal Kelly Clarkson’s position in the Superstar League. Clarkson worked with producer and One Republic front man, Ryan Tedder. Tedder told Digital Spy that Clarkson's new songs feature "big choruses" and "heavy drum programming", and the songs are influenced by the band Garbage, while one song, "Save You", features an experimental bridge that was inspired by Mozart. Ryan Tedder sings background vocals on the haunting power ballad "Already Gone". Kelly's enthusiasm is infectious, as she races to talk about some of her new songs. My Life Would Suck Without U : The unforgettably titled "My Life Would Suck Without You" (produced by pop wizards Dr. Luke and Max Martin) is an example of Kelly’s need to personalize and connect with all of her material. "They write great catchy, sassy songs," she says. "But it became a very different song from how it started. We changed the point of view, and other things throughout, because we had to make it more Kelly Clarkson. And Luke and Max love that, because it's a challenge for them to make a song really work for me." I Do Not Hook Up : This is the album's most defiant track "I Do Not Hook Up" comes courtesy of Katy Perry. "I've been a fan of hers since before 'I Kissed a Girl,'" says Kelly. "And when I heard that song, it really felt like something I could have written myself." If I Can’t Have You: Simply “Eurhythmics meets The Killers!” I Want You - Kelly laughs as she describes this track’s its surprising theme. "First, it's not a boy-bashing song, so that's already different for me," she says. "Plus, I wrote it, so that makes it even weirder!“ “All I Ever Wanted” is in-store : Monday March 9, 2009.
